passing through the highways of the sky
and where have all the back roads disappeared to?

past the brilliant seas
no one else could ever find me

road signs on the way to arizona
they had to get out of carolina
and when the boy became a better man
i was not to see
the beauty in the deep
walking out and hiding on the moon

and night times became noisy dreams
went dancing through the colored trees

and all the window made of vintage glass
reflected on another world at last
oh every time you can’t see past the day
take a moment back
cities by the tracks
overrun with elephants and bats
