Julia and I are kindered spirits. I met her for the first time at a Starbucks in Gonzales. Before I even knew who she was, I saw I girl at the counter wearing SILVER GLITTER SHOES and I secretly hoped that she was the girl I was meeting. Just my luck she was :D We talked for AGES about random things and then she showed me her MINI (I was obsessed with finding a car at that time)!!!!! It was at that moment I knew we were totally the same person and I absolutely adored her. The day of her wedding she was so calm and SO much fun, I adored her even more. Then I got to meet her now Husband, James, and the rest of their family, and I was in people heaven. James has such a kind soul and it made me so happy that this fantastic girl really had found the person she was supposed to be with. It’s stuff like this that makes me realize just how lucky I am to be trusted with peoples weddings and that brings absolute joy to my heart :)
Anyway, they got married at Houmas House Plantation and Julia had these awesome butterfly shoes she got from BHLDN (Anthropologie’s new wedding line). She has the best shoe taste EVER! Oh, did I mention the BUTTERFLY CAKE?! AHH! Also, for the photography nerds like myself, the film photos were shot on my Holga, my Leica RE, my Polaroid SX-70, and my Polaroid Spectra. I used Impossible Project film for the SX-70 and Kodak Portra (400 and 800) for the Leica and the Holga. Some of the black and whites were done on Kodak TMax400 and TMZ3200. Enjoy the photographs!!
