I *just* finished editing Lauren and JD’s engagement session and I just had to share it with you guys!! We took these at City Park which is totally my favourite spot for any type of pictures. I really love it when my couples decide to do an engagement session with me
We ALWAYS have so much fun and by the time the wedding comes along, we’re all best buddies
Besides, how could you not be comfortable around someone that tells you to nuzzle like a panda bear!!! Here are some of my favourites
I can’t wait to photograph their wedding in March!! YAY!

Race and Religious New Orleans Wedding • Kara and James
Saturday, December 3rd, 2011
This post is a little different than a normal post. First of all, I am obsessed with Race and Religious. Utterly obsessed. It’s literally the most beautiful wedding venue in New Orleans, and it’s totally the kind of place that was meant to be photographed on film. Which is where this post is going
I haven’t finished editing digital photographs from Kara and James’s wedding yet, but I got the film ones back today and I had to blog them. There are a couple shots from my Holga (the square ones) and the rest were shot on my Pentax ME Super or my Leica RE using a 50/2.0 lens (on both!). I used Kodak Portra 400 and 800 film (I think I pushed the 800 a stop or two) and Kodak TMAX 400 (pushed to 800 I think!). I also think some of the end shots were taken Kodak 3200, but it may have been Ilford Delta 3200. I can’t remember!! Anyway, photographs like this are the reason I love film photography so much. In all honesty I wish I could shoot 100% of my weddings with film. The tones and the colors are perfect. Everything about it makes me so blissfully happy
I hope you guys enjoy the photos as much as I do
Degas House Wedding New Orleans • Elizabeth and Jared
Thursday, July 21st, 2011
Elizabeth and Jared are of the sweetest and most wonderful people I have ever met. Being able to photograph people who love each other so much is one of the most amazing things in the world, and I’m so glad that I got to spend the day with them. They got married at the Degas House and their flowers were done by my favourite florist, Nola Flora! I’m sure you guys will notice all of the different looking photographs too! Some were done on my Polaroids with film from The Impossible Project, some on Black and White film, and some on my new Hasselblad (all of the square ones)!!!! I hope you guys like them, and I promise to be a better blogger in the next few weeks
Sneak Peek: D and Ronald • Engaged!
Saturday, June 11th, 2011
I had the hardest time choosing a sneak peek for D and Ronald’s session because they were SO CUTE!! Every single picture I have from their engagement session in the French Quarter today just makes my heart melt. I love the way they smile for each other (as silly as that sounds!). They make each other laugh and are just so full of light and happiness
That’s part of the reason I chose this photograph! It’s so warm and happy, and just like them
More to come!!

I photographed Elizabeth and Jared’s engagement session back in December, but in honor of their wedding tomorrow I thought I’d share their engagement session with you
We just walked around the Garden District laughing, having fun and taking photographs. It was awesome. I’m so excited for their wedding tomorrow!!! Happy Friday!
