This photo is not only the reason that I shoot film, it’s the reason that I am such a huge supporter of the Impossible Project
This was taken using their newest color film (PX680 Color Shade First Flush) using my SX-70 Alpha One! This photograph reminds me so much of a classic painting, and that is what these little images sort of are. When you shoot a digital RAW file, that image can be copied and shared a million and a half times. With a Polaroid, even though you can create scans of it, there will always only be one original. A unique and beautiful image. It’s why they’re so special. Anyway, this is the sneak peek from Elizabeth and Jared’s wedding today at the Degas House! I shot so much film I can’t wait to show you guys all of them!

I like making photographs glow
Unfortunately, I can’t pocket the sun and bring it with me to my indoor weddings, but with a little extra effort I can get pretty close! Here is a sneak peek from Cassie and Sean’s wedding at Latrobe’s yesterday. I’m in love with Cassie’s dress… Oscar De La Renta!

I’m so, so happy that more and more of my couples have decided to go with my film packages, even for engagement sessions. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love film. I know I say it all the time but there is something so special about the way film captures light and shadows that I just melt when I get my film back from the lab. Here are a few photographs from Jodi and Adam’s engagement session a few weeks ago. All of them were shot on my Leica RE using Fuji Pro 400H film. The two vertical images were shot with my Leica 90/2.8 lens on 2.8 and the horizontal image was shot with my 50/2.0 on 2.0

I’ve never posted a Polaroid photo as a sneak peek, but I love this one so much I couldn’t help myself. Joanna and Ian, thank you so much for letting me photograph your wedding today. I will admit to crying… multiple times. The world really is a better place because of you two and I’m deeply honored to have been able to share this day with you
And for those who are wondering, this photo was taken on my Polaroid Spectra Pro with expired Polaroid film I purchased from the ever so wonderful Impossible Project! The bouquet and boutonniere were created by the amazing Nola Flora!

As promised, here is another wedding from last year! Amanda and Joe got married at The Cabildo in the New Orleans French Quarter. They had their backyard wedding reception at Amandas dads house in the Bywater and one of Amanda’s friends made their cake. Oh, and Amanda did her own flowers!! How cool is that?! I still can’t get over it how beautiful they looked! Anyway, here are the photographs
