I felt a crazy bond with Jaynie and Alex before we even meet in real life! Turns out that Jaynie and I share the same birthday (July 15th!). Us Cancer girls always get along
I shot their engagement session yesterday at Audubon Park… and to make things more awesome they brought their doggie, Ziggie!!! She was so much fun! We were trying to get her to look at the camera and then Jaynie said to try saying “Dinner Time!” and it worked!!! Anyway, here are a couple Polaroids from their session! Shot on Impossible Project PX-70 Color Shade film (I think the test version) using an SX-70 Alpha One
Happy Tuesday!

Film Wedding Photography • Race and Religious

FILM! I love film so much. Especially when I get to shoot it at Race and Religious! Angelique and Andrew got married there in March, and oh my goodness there were SO many beautiful details to photograph! I was so happy because details always look more beautiful on film
The images below were shot on my 35mm Leica RE, my Polaroid SX-70, my Polaroid Spectra, my Polaroid Land Camera 250, and my Holga. I used Kodak Portra film for the color negatives, Kodak TMax for the black and white (Pushed three stops I think!) and film from The Impossible Project for the Polaroids. I hope you love these as much as I do! Happy TUESDAY!
Film Engagement Photography • Sarah and Niels
Friday, April 13th, 2012
I’ve decided that bringing your dog to your engagement session is the most fun thing in the ENTIRE universe. Especially if your dog is a super awesome and super energetic lab!!! I photographed Sarah and Niels’s engagement session at City Park in New Orleans. All of the images were shot on film! I used a 35mm Leica, a Hasselbad, a Polaroid SX-70 Alpha One (with film from The Impossible Project), a Polaroid Land Camera, and a Holga
All of the negative scans were done by Richard Photo Lab. Here are my favourites
Happy Friday!
Southern Oaks Plantation Wedding • Kayla and Brad
Tuesday, April 10th, 2012
Southern Oaks Plantation is one of the most fantastically run venues I have EVER photographed. The staff is BEYOND amazing, super efficient and so, so, SO sweet. I can’t wait to photograph my next wedding there
Kayla and Brad are adorable, and their families made my heart melt
Especially her dads speech! Anyway, here are my favourites! A couple were shot on my Holga and the Polaroids were shot on film from The Impossible Project. Happy Tuesday!
Film Wedding Photography • Sapna and Rene
Wednesday, March 14th, 2012
Sapna is one of the most exquisite brides I’ve ever seen. She was the first bride to send me photographs of her wedding dress after she bought it. I was so excited! It means a lot to me when my brides talk to me about their weddings
Anyway, there are a LOT more photographs from Sapna and Rene’s wedding, but I just got the film ones back so I had to share them
Sapna got ready at the Hotel Mazarin and had her reception at the Federal Ballroom! The flowers are by the amazing flower Ninjas at Nola Flora!!!! How pretty are they?! And for the film lovers, all the photos were shot on Kodak film using my Leica RE
Happy Wednesday
